Fruition Coaching and Consulting

Helping neurodivergent people and those who love them THRIVE, not just survive.

Practical, strengths-based coaching for neurodivergent tweens, teens, young adults, adults, and the people who love them.

Who I Help

Neurodivergence looks different in every person, and the right support should, too.

Tween and Teens

Build confidence, understand how your unique brain works, and develop practical tools for school, relationships, emotions, and everyday life (without trying to become someone you're not).

Young Adults

Navigate college, work, relationships, independence, and all the other "adulting" nobody actually teaches you, with strategies designed for the way your unique brain works.

Adults

Understand your brain, work with your strengths, and build practical systems for the parts of life that feel harder than they seem like they should.

Parents and Support People

Better understand the neurodivergent person/people you love and gain practical tools to support them, while strengthening connection, confidence, and communication.

How I Help

Coaching turns understanding and insight into action. Together, we figure out what's getting in the way, build on what's already working, and create practical strategies that fir your brain, your life, and your goals.

Neurodivergence Coaching

Practical, strengths-based support for executive function, emotional regulation, confidence, motivation, organization, relationships, transitions, and everyday life.

Parent and Support Person Coaching

Understand what may be happening beneath the behavior, discover approaches that work WITH (not against) their brain, and build tools that make everyday life feel more manageable for everyone.

Math Coaching and Tutoring

Individualized math support from an experienced mathematics educator who understands that sometimes the obstacle isn't the math, but attention, confidence, working memory, organization, or landing on the explanation that finally clicks.

About Larissa

Certified Neurodiversity Life Coach. Two master's degrees (M.Ed.) in education and leadership. Strategist. Mama. Proudly Neurospicy Human.

I have spent my career helping people learn, grow, solve difficult problems, and see possibilities they couldn't always see for themselves. I'm a Certified Life Coach and lifelong educator with two M.Ed. in education and leadership. Yet some of my most valuable education has come from being a neurodivergent person, myself, and having the honor of raising neurodivergent kiddos.I know firsthand that a brain that works differenly doesn't need to be "fixed." Rather, it needs to be deeply and robustly understood. My approach combines education, coaching, humor, movement, creativity, and practical strategies to help people understand how their brains work, build on their strengths, and find tools that work in real life (the cool kids call that "IRL").Most importantly, I genuinely ADORE the humans with whom I work... especially the wonderfully quirky, complicated, creative ones. Fruition is a place where it is unnecessary and unadvised to become someone else in order to thrive. We start with who you already are, celebrate that, then build from there.

Kind Words

A few words from the incredibly inspiring people I have coached and supported along the way...

Larissa came into my life at just the right moment when I was 14 years old. I was a freshman in high school and was just feeling totally lost and overwhelmed and alone. I already had a therapist who was great but my mom and I agreed I needed something more. Larissa helped me identify the areas in my life where I was really struggling and then put plans together to make it better. She kept me accountable the whole time but with a lot of love. She seriously changed my life and helped me celebrate myself rather than feel bad about myself all the time. She is the best!- Alaina, age 18

Honestly, I didn't even want to work with Miss Larissa. I already have a million doctors and I just want to have more freedom to play outside and play Fortnite with my friends and stuff. But my mom made me and I'm really glad she did because Miss Larissa is awesome. I thought I was broken and dumb and different from all the normal kids, but she didn't treat my like I needed to be fixed. She has ADHD too and gets me. Like, she can explain why your brain works how it does without making it sound like a bad thing. She doesn't give random advice like to just lock in and try harder. She listened to what my brain needed and we found strategies that work for me and not just some generic ADHD kid. She taught me about body doubling and how to use my hyperfocus for good and not evil. Real talk, she makes me feel like ADHD isn't a huge failure but just how my beautiful brain works and now I don't feel super ashamed all the time. Legit, she is one of the few adults who doesn't make me feel like I'm the problem and now I don't get yelled at all the time by my parents. 10/10 would recommend.- Kyle, age 13

I spent years thinking there was something seriuosly "wrong" with my daughter. My firstborn was such an easy kid and then her sister came along and honestly, I didn't know ODD and ADHD was even a "thing" for girls.Larissa made my daughter feel normal rather than broken. My kid trusts her in a way she doesn't even trust ME and I'm grateful for that. The biggest difference for our family is that I'm not constantly nagging or reminding or yelling at her anymore. I feel like I have my daughter back instead of an adversary I loved but didn't always like. She begs to see Miss Larissa next, which pretty much says it all. This kid doesn't even want to leave her room most of the time!- Jenny, age 44, mom to R, age 14

Frequently-Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is coaching basically the same thing as therapy?Nope, though that's a common misunderstanding. Coaching focuses on deeply understanding where you are not, where you'd like to go, and then building practical strategies to help you get there. Therapy and coaching work beautifully together and are quite complimentary services, but Fruition does not diagnose nor treat mental health conditions. With whom do you work?I work with neurodivergent tweens, teens, young adults, adults, and the people who dearly love them. You don't need a formal diagnosis of any kind to work with me. If your brain works a little differently (or you love someone whose does) this is a safe and welcome space for you. What happens during a coaching session? That depends entirely upon the human! We might talk, problem-solve, make a plan, practice a skill, move around, organize your binder for the last time, play a game, throw a Nerf dart, or figure out why the perfectly reasonable system you've tried 17 times still isn't working. Sessions are practical, collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to the person in front of me.Do you work with parents separately from their kiddos?I do. Sometimes the person who needs the support and new tools isn't the kid. Parent and support-person coaching can help bring about a deeper understanding of what's happening underneath a behavior, communicate more effectively, set realistic expectations, and find strategies that work WITH your person's brain instead of against it.Do you offer virtual AND in-person coaching?I sure do! I offer both! In-person coaching is available in my office, located in Wake Forest, NC, and virtual coaching allows me us to work together from wherever you happen to be.Do you accept insurance?I don't. At this juncture, Life Coaching is not covered by, nor billed through, health insurance. Fruition is a private-pay coaching practice. The silver lining here is that this also means that our work isn't dictated by an insurance company's requirements, treatment plan, or session limits. How do I get started?Easy peasy lemon squeezy! Click "Get Started" and tell me a little about yourself (or the person you love) and what you're looking to accomplish. From there, we'll figure out together whether Fruition feels like a good fit and what kind of support makes the most sense. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation call.
